On August 16, 2024, at the PhilSports Arena, the Akari Chargers secured a four-set victory over the Nxled Chameleons with scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-17, and 25-18.
This win marked Akari's seventh consecutive triumph, maintaining their unbeaten streak in the conference.The Chargers' import, Oly Okaro, delivered an impressive performance, tallying 30 points from 28 attacks, one block, and one ace. Team captain Michelle Cobb also played a pivotal role, contributing 18 excellent sets and nine points, including four aces. Ivy Lacsina added 19 points to bolster the team's offense.
Despite a strong start by the Chameleons, who took the first set, the Chargers adjusted their strategy and dominated the subsequent sets. Nxled's import, Meegan Hart, led her team with 16 points, while Chiara Permentilla added 11 points. However, their efforts were insufficient to counter Akari's momentum.
